Laura Shema grew up on the outskirts of Baltimore, Maryland. She has surrounded herself with artistic and creative minds at MICA where she graduated with her BFA. Desiring a more vigorous and complete education Laura earned her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. She has since been creating work, participating in shows along the East Coast, and has been employed as a painter in the Jeff Koons LLC studio. Laura is currently exploring Cambridge, UK for inspiration while freelancing.
